General Information
The JICA Water Engineering and Utility Management Future Leaders Training Program (JFY2026/2027) is a long-term, English-taught Master’s scholarship in Japan aimed at developing future water sector leaders in developing countries. Participants study at Tokyo Metropolitan University (or Toyo University) to gain expertise in water supply, utility management, and policy through academic research and practical internships.
Eligibility
- Experience: At least three (3) years of practical experience in waterworks,
government agencies, or other positions in water sector in their countries - Nationality: Indonesia
- Age:
– Less than thirty-five (35) years old as of enrollment (As of April 1st, 2027). - Educational Background: • Have a bachelor degree or higher in engineering, science or other
disciplines relevant to management of water supply systems - Language: Have the linguistic skills required to take courses and receive
research guidance in English (TOEIC) - Health: in good health both physically and mentally, to participate in the
program in Japan
